Kakifly, you have made a grown man nerdgasm. Many people, including myself, were wondering what path this new manga would take since it’s announcement last month. He had two apparent options, go with the graduated girls off to college or focus on the up-and-coming group still in high school. He is going to be incredible busy, because he has chosen not only BOTH options, but each storyline is receiving its own full-fledged manga series in different magazines!

Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara will continue the story of Yui, Mio, Mugi, and Ritsu as they head off to college, while Manga Time Kirara Carat will focus on Azusa, Ui, Jun, and the rest of the cast still in high school. You can catch up with the K-On girls starting April 9th for the college storyline and April 28th for the high school continuation.

Still no word yet on the K-On! movie plot or of a possible continuation of the anime, but one can only hope.

Fans around the world, rejoice! Manga-ka Kakifly has announced that he is resuming K-On! in Houbunsha’s Manga Times Kirara magazine. The incredibly popular 4-panel comedy manga about a group of high school girls forming an afterschool rock band has already been adapted into an anime series that ran for 2 seasons, and a movie has been announced. More details will be revealed in the March 9th issue of the magazine.
